1-for theory xams always do d major parts of ques frm local author or classess ka notes...mind it d local author shld be d right one...coz tecmax guys hv all subs ka bks....u need to know when u shld go with tecmax or sm other local author....ask ur seniors for dis..
2-always pepare d most freqently askd ques frm foreign author....coz everyone of u is gng to do FAQ , wt makes d cut is dat how well one prepares dat.....so always use foreign authors nd classess ka notes ka combination for FAQ's.
3 - for once in a bluemoon ques one can nt do anythng...see here u vl notice dat d foreign author hv a upper hand on local....d point is if u hv read d forign author partially den u vl be able to write d ans for dis kinda of ques....d thng is local author r vey much defined , der is no flexiblity ...but with a forign author u can always write sm crap for dis kinda of ques.....
4-see all d above points i hv sd , keeping in mind only theory xams..
5-in theory paper, even if der is a single numerical pls attempt it .......
6-if u want to score in ur paper...PLS DO NOT ATTEMPT SHORT NOTES QUES....dis is very imp.....short notes r meant to waste time nd energy....nd u never get gd marks for short notes.......if u don't hv ny choice den only go for short notes
7 but never keep short notes ques in option...always be prepared with dat coz if d paper is tough , den short notes r d lifesavers for us.....in every tough paper d short notes ques r d easiest ones...so never ever keep dat in options
8-even if der is a ques dat u know partially ,go for dat rather gng for short notes , coz beleive me short notes r waste of time.....
9-dis is a point which all most everyone knows-one shld be smart nough to judge which theory ques to attempt...supppose der r two ques- one is a logical one nd d other is a staright forward one(construction details), go for d logical one...try to express as much as u can in d paper...try to show d concepts u knw....straight forward ques again nyone can write.....der's nthng new in dat....but in logical u can show ur command over d sub...even if u study 10 hrs a day, wats d use if u can't show dat in ur paper....even a guy studying 30 min before d xam can attempt d straight forward ques( construction details type)..so show dat u knw d sub...
10-paper setters r very tricky people, dey always gv a construction type of ques for 5 marks...so if u attemt such kinda of ques its again wastage of time...rather if u go with d logical ques , u vl take less time, also u vl score gd
11-for theory papers pls pls attempt all ....100 marks...den only u can thnk of getting 70/80.........
12-length of ans
5 marks--1 page or at max 1 nd half page
10 marks- 2 or at max 2 nd half pages...
pls do nt go below or above dis range--its of no use.......
13 even if u don't hv any idea abt d ques.pls attempt it...write smthng, like d ques only again den write smthng related to dat....atleast u vl get 10% of marks for ur attempt....attempting all ques is d key to get high scores
14- time management is imp....do accordingly....preplan how much time u need to gv to one ques....nd d way one attempts go according to ur instincts.....wt i used to do in case of a tough paper i used to gv 45 min or so to d tough ques...nd d rest to d other ques...in case of normal paper 35 min to all...nd rest 5 for revision....

XAM
dis is d most imp thng....even if u screwed up ur viva, no need to get tensed...u can compensate all d lost marks in xam....see vivas r imp...but its d xam which sets d base...vivas r just d cream.....but obviously everyone likes cream..see i know a hell let of guys who screwed up in der vivas nd scored a hell lot of marks in xams... so it all cmes down to xam...wt i vl be dng is i vl gv sm kind of suggestions nd i vl gv d list of bks one need to study frm...
whatever i hv experienced i feel dat d marks gvn all depends on d way of presentation nd also d quality of writing.......it ceratinly does nt depend on d no of pages one wirte....see d no of pages one write is taken in to consideration only when one finds diff to pass.....if u hv to score u need to concentrate on quality of ans....personally wt i used to do was to write ans frm local, foreign nd classess ka notes.......see if u want to score high u can't depend completely on one dat, is applicable to foreign author also...i hv my frnds who use to write deir evey ans frm foreign author but dey never scored high....d thng with foreign author is dey r concept oriented ans....smtimes d xaminer maybe looking for a discrete word , but dat u may nt find in forign author....discrete in sense - smtimes d xaminer would be loooking forward for a certain term, as soon as dey see it...dey gv u marks...d thng is no xaminer is gng to read all d thngs that u write....dey always r in d search of wirte terms or words , as soon as dey see it dey mone on to next ques.....so d key is to use rihgt words in all places...rest to fill up d page one can write any crap......
